We have recently produced this 78C thermostat. We are becoming increasingly aware of engine problems caused by engines getting too hot. We think this is partly caused by the ethanol content of modern fuels, but we are certainly seeing an increase in problems related to the lower half of the engine overheating. We think this thermostat, which opens 10 degrees lower than the standard thermostat, can help alleviate some of these overheating problems.
